Clovity Brings Its End-to-End CSensorNet IoT Platform to the Qualcomm Smart Cities Accelerator Program to Develop the Next-Generation Campus
Schools and academic institutions across America are in charge of our most precious resource, our children. When it comes to technology, today’s university faculty and students often embrace smarter solutions faster than the pace at which they study and work. Digitally savvy, they are accustomed to a world where their homes, banks, retail stores, and even their sports teams offer seamless connectivity that is as much about the experience as it is about the capabilities that connectivity provides.
Using technologies that enable frictionless, touchless, and intuitive experiences driven by a digitally connected community, these smart campuses achieve true transformation to provide the level of service their digitally native student body and faculty have come to expect. It is for this reason Clovity has joined the Qualcomm Smart Cities Accelerator Program from Qualcomm Technologies to bring smart solutions to schools, campuses, and cities across the United States.
Clovity, creator of the CSensorNet Smart City Platform and IoT professional services company, has joined the Qualcomm Smart Cities Accelerator Program to deliver IoT projects with Clovity’s end-to-end IoT platform. Clovity’s CSensorNet IoT platform is capable of enabling a “Digital Student” by connecting to buildings, facilities, and e-commerce, as well as enabling “Smart Classrooms” with connected devices within the classroom to foster interactive learning and development. Additionally, Clovity’s platform will further promote “Smart Administration,” enabling a higher level of facility administration, student engagement, logistics, and housing safety. Whether it is coordinating traffic, parking, or automated lighting for infrastructure cost savings, Clovity provides the ability for academic institutions and cities to be everywhere at once, react, and personalize experiences in seconds.
Qualcomm Technologies launched its Qualcomm Smart Cities Accelerator Program last April with a focus on supporting or facilitating smart city initiatives and acting as a liaison between private and public entities. By bringing together cities, municipalities, and government entities with technology providers offering cutting-edge IoT solutions that utilize Qualcomm Technologies’ innovations, the program strives to accelerate technological adoption that growing cities need to thrive. Through the program, hardware, software, cloud, and system integrator companies can improve implementation times, increase business opportunities, and create truly intelligent as well as connected cities.
Through a collaboration with Clovity and Microsoft, the benefits for schools and campuses will include connected fire alarms, BLE panic buttons, connected lighting, smart locks, smart video surveillance, intrusion detection, real-time location, mass notifications, air quality monitoring, and digital alerts, to name a few.

““Being a part of the Qualcomm Smart Cities Accelerator Program is another opportunity to further expand and prove that Clovity’s IoT platform has the scale and capability to help the world’s cities become strategically connected. I could see no better way than partnering with a giant in the connected industry and teaming up to focus on the well-being of our students and school administrators towards the future of a connected world.” — Chris Medina, Chief Strategy Officer, Clovity”
