Clovity is launching a Zero-Touch Smart Thermal Solution bundle that includes SeekScan™ cameras (by Seek Thermal), Lenovo GPIO Nano devices, and Clovity's CSensorNet IoT software platform, all offered as an IoT-as-a-Service solution hosted in Microsoft Azure. The Smart Thermal Camera and AI detection solution readily identifies individuals entering a campus, office building, or public space who are running an abnormally high body temperature. Thresholds can be set to standard levels or customized to facility or local ordinance requirements. The solution only performs thermal readings unless facial recognition is explicitly requested by clients, with all privacy considerations respected. Alerts and automated lockout protocols can be triggered via CSensorNet, ensuring swift action when elevated body temperature is detected.
Delivered as an IoT-as-a-Service bundle, clients can be operational within a week. Clovity provides the hardware, installation, software, and maintenance, simplifying implementation for facilities.
When combined with CSensorNet and Edge CSensorNet Lite, Lenovo GPIO devices can scan temperatures in seconds and determine if an individual's reading falls above or below the set threshold. Mobile or fixed applications achieve ±0.4° accuracy (50% higher than FDA recommendations) with ±0.9° variation. Clovity leverages Elevated Body Temperature (EBT), the gold standard in thermal imaging, rather than Elevated Skin Temperature (EST), which is less reliable. Administrators gain visibility across both granular entry points and entire facilities.
Lenovo’s smart GPIO devices allow alerts to be processed in real time, triggering security or facility management protocols to restrict entry. Operating on Azure provides scalability across multiple locations and supports complementary IoT solutions for additional value.
